Kansai (also known as Kinki) is a region in south central Japan, home to the cities of Osaka, Kobe, and Kyoto. It is the heart of Japanese culture, and location of the capital before it moved to Edo (Tokyo). Often compared to Kanto, which includes Tokyo, Kansai is the 2nd most populous region of Japan. The people here are seen as more entrepreneurial and the region is famous for it’s food.
